The Consumer Price Index in Texas has steadily increased year by year, and has experienced several years of growth in 2021. Officials approve the expansion of the Old Settlers Avenue

Design; lighting; environmental documentation; utility improvement; public participation; geotechnical survey and measurement in the project bidding process. If deemed necessary, the contract includes options for construction services. The Old Settlers expansion is part of the city’s 2017 traffic master plan. After completion, it will be a four-lane urban road designed to increase the mobility of the area.

The City Council approved a supplementary contract with Aguirre & Fields LP to provide engineering services, plans, specifications and estimates, and supporting documents for the Old Settlers Boulevard expansion project in Round Rock. The expansion project will extend from North Red Bud Lane to CR 110. The contract includes the necessary transitions to accommodate the city’s traffic control plan and other miscellaneous work.

Round Rock Northbound I-35 Waterline

Officials approved an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation on October 28 to extend the northbound frontage highway along I-35 from Greenlawn Avenue to SH 45 N. Construction began in February 2020 and is expected to be completed in mid-2023. The project will add street lanes on both sides of RM 620 and build a bridge over the railway crossing of Chisholm Trail Road. It will also add a roundabout under the bridge. To help maintain commercial and residential space in the area, a passageway will be built between Lake Creek Drive and Chisholm Trail.
